Q: How do I keep my arm/leg clean when it is in a cast?

A:
There isn't anything you can do to clean the area covered by a cast until the cast is removed. You should wash any skin not covered by a cast with soap and water every day. When you take a bath or shower, securely wrap the cast in plastic so it does not get wet. Sponge baths may be necessary to avoid getting the cast wet if it is too big.
