Q: What are cataracts?

A:
Cataracts are the clouding of the lens in the eye that affects vision. Common problems are vision that is blurred or seeing too much glare from a light source. Cataracts are very common in elderly people. By the age of 80, more than half of all Americans either have a cataract or have had cataract surgery.
